A drug dealer was jailed after police caught him with bags of cocaine and cash.

Anthony Birmingham of Almond Drive, Thatcham pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver Class A drugs to Reading Crown Court on Thursday May 20th.

The 29-year-old was sentenced at the same hearing to two years and eight months’ imprisonment.

He was arrested on May 19 of this year at Almond Avenue, Newbury and was found in possession of several bags of Class A drugs and a quantity of cash.

Further searches of a property by Thames Valley Police have found more bags of drugs, scales and cash.

PC investigator Joe Gawronski, based at Newbury Police Station, said: “Some people try to glorify the use and supply of drugs and do not realize the exploitation and criminality that drives them. -tent.

“Often, it is the most vulnerable in our communities who suffer.

“Birmingham is facing the consequences of its involvement in the drug supply and will now be spending time in jail.

“Thames Valley Police will actively seek out those implicated in drug-related crime and bring them to justice.”
