Banque du Luxembourg to open second Door County branch in Fish Creek

FISH CREEK – Banque du Luxembourg has announced plans to open its second location in Door County next spring with a branch in Top of the Hill stores.

The branch, whose address will be 9331 Spring Road, Suite B20, Fish Creek, will have local staff on site to offer full banking services, including the ability to make deposits, investments, apply for loans. and more.

Bank officials were considering a move to northern Door County, Bank of Luxembourg President Tim Treml said, and the opportunity arose when Bank Nicolet closed its Fish Creek branch in May, as well as the Door County branches in Ellison Bay and Brussels.

Treml also noted that the bank already has customers in Northern Door who should find the Fish Creek office more convenient to use than traveling to Sturgeon Bay.

“We had been thinking about going north of Sturgeon Bay (where the bank has its first office on the peninsula) for a while,” Treml said. “When Nicolet Bank left, we saw the opportunity (and) found a location in Fish Creek, which is fairly central in the northern part of Door County. This allows us to better serve some of these customers and bring our banking brand to the Region. “

It will also feature what Treml considers to be Door County’s first interactive automated banking machine (ITM), essentially an ATM with a live video chat with someone on the other side. Treml said the ITM will be in the office lobby and will offer hours for video chat services that will be slightly extended from the bank’s regular hours. When not in use as an ITM, it will function as an ATM.

“The ITM will allow you to do anything you can do with a cashier without physically entering the branch,” Treml said. “You’re going to talk to a cashier on a TV screen and be able to make loan payments, deposits, make change, whatever you can do in person.”

The new branch will be the second branch of the Bank of Luxemburg in Door County, joining the office at 519 S. Lansing Ave. (at Business State 42), Sturgeon Bay. The bank, established in 1903, also has offices in Luxembourg, Green Bay, Dyckesville, Casco, Algoma and Kewaunee. For more information, visit bankofluxemburg.com.
