Berkshire has 525 new cases of covid and one more death in Slough

525 more cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Berkshire in the past day.
There was another covid-related death in Slough, bringing its total to 309 according to data from Public Health England.
In terms of daily positive cases, the latest official figures released on Saturday evening (October 9) show Wokingham – with 127 – saw the biggest increase in the last 24-hour recording period.

Reading saw the smallest increases today, reporting 49 more positive tests for the virus.
Nationally, the government said there were 133 more deaths within 28 days of a positive test, bringing the UK total to 137,697.
And there have been 34,950 new positive cases nationwide in the past 24 hours, according to government data.
