A MAN who answered a video call while in the bathroom was blackmailed by a scammer who took pictures of him.

The victim, from the Royal Borough, was coming out of the toilet when he answered a video call thinking it was from someone he knew.

However, after answering, he immediately realized he did not know the caller and ended the call.

They then sent screenshots of his Facebook contacts, to show that they could do what they threatened.

Everything was deleted and blocked and the victim heard nothing more.

Windsor and Maidenhead community leader Jeffrey Pick said: “There is a moral here – be extremely careful if you answer your phone in a compromising situation.

“The scammers are always there, looking for an opportunity.

“Don’t let that be you – or anyone you know.”
