Coronavirus: Berkshire postcodes where Covid cases are on the decline
These are the Berkshire postcodes experiencing a drop in the number of new Covid infections in the community.
The latest figures revealed the picture as more than a third of the county saw a drop in new infections over the past week.
Reading Chronicle Analysis of figures from Public Health England shows that 31 postcodes in Berkshire have seen a drop in the number of new cases.
It comes as the country has seen Covid cases drop in recent weeks, as nearly all restrictions are now relaxed.
Data released last night, showing rates for the week through August 17, shows areas such as Reading Central, Winnersh, Sandhurst and Cippenham Meadows have seen one of the biggest drops.
Meanwhile, areas such as Twyford East & Wargrave and Burnham South have followed closely with declining case rates.
Despite falling in dozens of parts of the county, Maidenhead Highway is one of a handful of areas in the region that have actually seen an increase in the number of cases over the past week.
In the seven days leading up to Aug. 17, the county as a whole saw the number of cases jump to 2,770 (7.2%) – an additional 188 cases from the week before.
