Covid-19 Berkshire: Map shows where cases are increasing
A number of areas in Berkshire have reported an increase in the number of new coronavirus cases over the past week.
Neighborhoods across the county saw an increase from the previous week.
The most recent data from Public Health England shows the image in the seven days leading up to May 8, compared to the seven days leading up to May 1.

This follows national concerns over the Indian variant of the coronavirus, as new figures show cases more than doubled in a week.
Analysis of this local data revealed that the majority of areas that have seen an increase in cases have seen only slight increases – between one and three new cases.
Although these areas have seen an increase, the majority of postal code areas in the region thankfully continue to see a steady decline in Covid cases.
