Easter egg hunts in Berkshire in 2022: dates, locations and cost
The magic of Easter is just around the corner: fluffy bunnies, hidden eggs and a great excuse to get out and frolic with the family in the beautiful Berkshire countryside. But, with so many egg hunts to choose from, just figuring out where to take your family can be a bit of a wild goose chase.
From large events on elegant estates to cozy family pubs with trails in their back garden, w We searched high and low to find exciting family trails, then all you have to do is jump on it and find where the Easter bunny has hidden all the eggs! From Basildon Park to Newbury Easter Fest, there are plenty of places to choose from across the county to fill your stomachs with chocolate.
With that in mind, BerkshireLive has listed the addresses, dates and how much it will cost you to participate in an Easter egg hunt below.

Location: Lower Basildon, Reading RG8 9NR
Ah, the rolling fields of Basildon Park. A place where you can expand your horizons on one of their popular Easter trails. The trail runs from April 8-25, while supplies last, and runs through the impressive 400-acre estate. The trail has 10 activity stations to discover in a seemingly endless landscape. The little ones can stretch their legs and go wild, with the National Trust welcoming families who wish to bring a picnic. Once your activity sheet is completed, don’t forget to collect your egg!

Wellington National Park
Location: Odiham Road, Riseley, Berkshire, RG7 1SP
The mega Easter egg hunt, nestled neatly into sparkling holiday weeks, needs your help. We have good information that the Easter Bunny will be hiding giant Easter Eggs in and around the park, so if you think you can help them, all you need to do is collect your Easter Hunt Pack from from 9:30 a.m. Bunny ears and beanies are optional.

The old bell
Location: High Street, Hurley, Maidenhead SL6 5LX
What could be more magical than an egg hunt in the grounds of an old post house? Belle’s Easter Sunday family fun day includes an egg hunt in the walled vegetable garden, as well as outdoor activities including a barbecue in the summer kitchen, giant games and face painting. BBQ food is included in the ticket price.
Bucklebury Farm Park
Location: Bucklebury, Reading RG7 6RR
Arts, crafts, songs and tales, and a magical Easter egg hunt in the woods to boot. At Bucklebury Farm, your little ones will receive a bag of goodies for helping the Big White Easter Bunny find the hidden eggs in the magical woods. Parents who need a break are welcome to let their children run free while they enjoy coffee and cake which is served in the newly converted barista box (all staff have upgraded DBS certificates).
- Cost/booking info: Easter egg hunts take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is £15 per child with additional park entry.
Location: Cliveden Road, Taplow, Maidenhead SL1 8NS
Set in the breathtaking English countryside estate of Cliveden, this Easter Hunt is for families who love a mission to accomplish. Although there are no hidden eggs on the trail, they are assigned at the end of the activity sheet. Leashed dogs are welcome in most parts of the park – so feel free to bring your furry friends! We hope the stunning view of the Thames doesn’t distract you too much!

Animal fans will love this Easter egg trail with a difference. Families entering the Easter Trail must scour the animal park to find all of the animals that lay eggs. The park is set in 35 acres and has beautiful lakes and gardens within its grounds which sits alongside the River Thames. Families can meet the animals and try out their new inflatable slide or ride the popular little train.

Newbury Easter 2022
Location: Northbrook Street/Bartholomew Street, Newbury, RG14 1DT
A magical Alice in Wonderland themed Easter event is coming to Newbury this Easter weekend. With a story telling of an Easter bunny, a downtown Easter hunt, plus DJs and musical performances, it’s sure to be fun for the whole family. This unusual event needs people with very sharp eyes to help find eggs hidden among giant objects. With Alice in Wonderland, a Mad Hatter and the Queen of Hearts, you’d be mad as a March Hare to miss this!
