Latest Berkshire Covid case numbers and infection rate
Just under 100 cases of Covid-19 were recorded in Berkshire as the daily number of new infections in the county continued to rise.
The total of 98 – up from 108 yesterday.
Wokingham saw the biggest increase, with 26 new cases. There were 16 in Reading and 22 in Bracknell Forest, plus 24 in Slough, six in West Berkshire and four in Windsor and Maidenhead.
Two regions in Berkshire have seen an increase in weekly infection rates in numbers for the seven days through May 31 – the most recent available.

The government said 5,765 more laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases had been recorded in the UK at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
He said 13 more people died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 on Saturday, bringing the UK total to 127,836.
Separate figures released by the Office for National Statistics show that there have now been 153,000 recorded deaths in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.

- Bracknell Forest: 7,285 cases (+22)
- Reading: 11,320 cases (+16)
- Slough: 15,869 cases (+24)
- West Berkshire: 6,598 cases (+6)
- Windsor and Maidenhead: 8,611 cases (+4)
- Wokingham: 8,552 (+26)

How many people have been vaccinated against Covid?
Government data up to June 4 shows that of the 67,284,864 injections given in the UK so far, 40,124,229 were first doses – an increase of 174,535 the day before.
Some 27,160,635 were second doses, an increase of 360,691.
