ARTISTS can show their love for Slough through art.

The Slough Hub and 99 World Artists have announced that they are accepting applications from people wishing to take part in its fine arts festival.

This is part of the upcoming festival in the HOME Slough creative arts programme, LOVE Slough.

The purpose of the festival is to celebrate all that is good in the city.

Vineet Vijh, Founder of 99 World Artists and The Slough Hub, said: “The Fine Arts Festival aims to give Slough artists the opportunity to showcase their work and work together to encourage more people to appreciate art.

All works will be submitted to an online competition and open to public voting from March 14 to 20.

A panel of judges will then give their opinion on the work.

And shortlisted artists will have the opportunity to promote and sell their works in the online gallery on the 99 World Artists website.

Three winners will be selected on March 27 and take home a prize of up to £250.

The event was commissioned by HOME Slough, as part of the LOVE Slough festival.

Jake Orr, Creative Producer of HOME Slough, added: “The Fine Arts Festival is at the heart of our LOVE Slough celebration.

“We hope this will lift the spirits of the people of Slough and give people a positive and uplifting perspective of Slough.”

The artwork will also be on display in venues around central Slough from March 21 to April 30 for the public to enjoy.
