A man was hit on the head with a glass bottle and a metal rod during a robbery at a Berkshire fun fair.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, was standing near a merry-go-round at The Moor, Blackamoor Lane, Maidenhead, when the assault took place.

After attacking him, they stole the man’s vest as well as a purse he held to be a member of his family.

The victim suffered cuts and bruises to his head and face during the attack, but did not require hospital treatment after the attack, which took place around 7 p.m. on Friday, May 14.

The stolen handbag is described as being in black leather with gold studs on the front and the vest was Moncler branded and navy in color.

Thames Valley Police said two Maidenhead men, aged 19 and 20, remained in custody after being arrested on charges of robbery.

Investigator Harriet Driver, based at Maidenhead Police Station, said: “I call on all witnesses to this incident to come forward.

“I also believe that part of this incident may have been captured on cell phones, so I would ask anyone with information on this to contact us.

“Anyone with information can contact Thames Valley Police by calling 101 or making a report online, citing 43210208405.

“Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 or through their website.”
