A RISING star IT manager at Fujitsu who started his own brand of drug dealing after being stabbed with a machete at a party will spend the next few years behind bars after being jailed at Reading Crown Court last week.

Daniel Chapman, of Wayland Close, Bracknell, sold cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, Xanax and other drugs as the ‘Dead Lean Team’. The 30-year-old was texting customers with messages such as “Frosty the snowman is back” to indicate he had cocaine available for sale.

A court has heard how Chapman turned to drug dealing following a deterioration in his mental health after being stabbed at a party two years ago. He was questioned three times by police between December 2020 and October 2021 after packages from overseas containing MDMA were seized by Border Force officers.

Bracknell News:

LOCAL opinion is divided over a plan to move the war memorial from a Berkshire village to those who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. Finchampstead Parish Council requested that the village war memorial be moved from its current location at the junction of Jubilee Road and Rectory Hill last November.

The project involves moving the cross, a Grade II listed structure dating from 1920, to Finchampstead Memorial Park. The parish council argued that placing the war memorial in the park would allow safe and easy access for visitors who wish to gaze quietly and allow for better participation in remembrance services and other events.

However, some villagers objected to its relocation. Tim Denton said: ‘For someone who has lived and grown up in Finchampstead all my life for about 60 years, and still less than a mile from the cross, I totally disagree with that.
