PLAYER EVALUATIONS: Tom Ince hits the stunner to earn an earned run for Reading at Bournemouth
ORJAN NYLAND 7: Could have done nothing to prevent the opening goal and made an excellent save in the 30th minute to fly to his left to prevent Christie’s effort on his debut for the Royals.
ANDY YIADOM 7: Lined up nicely down the right with Ince to provide some threat going forward and sparked a few decent crosses into the box.
MICHAEL MORRISON 6: Read the play well from time to time to pass and prevent Jaidon Anthony from passing on goal.
TOM HOLMES6: Struggled at times against a very tricky client in Dominick Solanke, but looked more assured as the game grew and Bouremouth sat deep.
TOM MCINTYRE 5: Again had to play out of position and asked to do some work at left-back in Rahman’s absence. Defended well against Jamal Lowe in the second half but was cornered and now able to advance.
JOSH LAURENT 5: Played in an advanced midfield role and although he worked hard his end product was lacking and misplaced some important passes.
DANNY DRINKING WATER 6: Turn the ball well in midfield in the second half as Reading had plenty of possession in search of an equalizer which proved allusive.
ANDY RINOMHOTA 7: Had a good chance from Ince’s withdrawal in the first half that he shot straight at the keeper. I got up and down the field well to help with defense and attack.
OVIE EJARIA 7: Showed some magic a few times with a few passes to break up the lines and screamed for a second-half penalty when he looked like he was stumbled in the box.
TOM INCE 8.5: Looked brilliant on the right side and fired many attractive crosses which could have been converted had Joao beaten Phillips to the ball. Hit a stunning strike to score the equalizer.
LUCAS JOAO 7: Held the ball well and put the others in play in attack with his strength. Had a big chance each half, the first saved by Travers and the second ripped from his grasp by Nat Phillips’ superb intervention. Fans weren’t happy to see him leave with 15 minutes left.
