Portsmouth loan Jay Mingi to Maidenhead United
Portsmouth has loaned Jay Mingi to Maidenhead United.
Portsmouth sent the youngster out of the league, as announced by their official website of the club.
Mingi, who is 20, was released by Charlton Athletic at the end of last season.
The Addicks decided not to extend his contract at the end of June and he subsequently became a free agent.

Portsmouth handed him a lawsuit before finally recruiting him last month.
The plan was to always loan him out and Maidenhead has now barged in.
Pompey hopes the midfielder can gain valuable experience in the National League first team.
He joined the Magpies on a one month loan and it will be interesting to see how he fares.
Career to date
Mingi rose through the ranks of West Ham United academy as a youngster, but didn’t quite make it through to the Hammers.
He then moved to Charlton in 2019 and spent the last two years on the books at The Valley.
Mingi made a few cup appearances for the Addicks last season, but was shown the door last summer.

It’s a good opportunity for him to save playing time and show what he can do at a decent level.
