AFTER the Covid forced its Cinderella series to shut down last year, the Theater Royal Windsor is certainly back in full force.

Starring Britain’s favorite fox, Basil Brush, Jack and the Beanstalk brings song, dancing and lots of silliness to families this Christmas.

The cast is a mix of exciting newcomers and familiar favorites.

This party show is incredibly funny throughout, courtesy of Windsor comedic duo Steven Blakeley as Dame Dotty Trott, and Kevin Cruise as Simon Trott.

The couple’s “Trott’s Pots” scene stunned audiences with their frivolous jokes, chaotic performances, and sheer moments of laughter.

Jay Worley, who stars as Jack Trott, charms audiences with her effortless vocals and on-stage connection to love interest, Jill, played by Alice Fillary.

The duo’s vocals blend together well and it wouldn’t be a panto without a really cheesy and romantic number, right? Oh no it wouldn’t!

Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas also makes a special appearance as she performs the voice of Giant Meghanza Blunderbore.

And credit goes to the ensemble for bringing energetic and strong dance routines throughout the show.

There is a great selection of old music numbers as well as contemporary hits, all of which add to the fun factor of pantomime.

And not to mention the much-loved classic, 12 Days of Christmas, where Worley, Cruise, and Blakeley throw multiple objects onto the stage in their hilarious take on the song.

It was a shame not to see any junior performers on stage due to the covid, but it was a healthy and fun show nonetheless.

Take a trip on the Beanstalk this Christmas and head to the Theater Royal Windsor to watch this true festive delight.

Jack and the Beanstalk runs through January 9.
