Steaming diners slam Britain’s ‘worst Burger King’ for ‘cold burgers, fries and dirty tables’
FUMING diners slammed Britain’s ‘worst Burger King’ for cold burgers, fries and dirty tables.
Visitors to the burger restaurant in Wokingham, Berkshire, say the site ‘needs razing’.
Customers have filled the Carnival Field Leisure Park branch’s Tripadvisor page with shocking first-hand testimonials about the location.
Out of 55 reviews, the place has 39 one-star “terrible” reviews and only four “excellent” reviews.
But the last “excellent” review was three years ago, in 2019.
One reviewer, who visited just three weeks ago, wrote: “Dirty restaurant. Dirty tables everywhere without cleaning trays or wiping down tables.
“Rude staff who have no idea. No gloves worn. They touched the fries with their bare hands!”
Another customer, who visited in June and said he wanted to rate it less than one star, said it took over 20 minutes to receive his food.
“It took over 20 minutes to eat and that was after I walked into the restaurant,” they wrote.
“Extremely hot restaurant and no staff on the dining room floor to clean tables etc.
“The food was just thrown in a bag and the manager moaned because I asked for more crisps because my packet was empty, just hanging in a bag.
“The branch can’t cope with drive-thru – Uber drivers and customers ordering from the restaurant.
“The place needs to be razed because it’s too small to keep up with 2022.”
The most recent review criticized the state of the toilets.
They said: “The floors don’t look like they’ve been mopped let alone swept in weeks.
“The toilets are dirty to the point where the toilets are not clean enough to sit on. Very unhappy with our visit.”
And a review from February this year claimed the place needed an ‘environmental health visit’.
They said: “What a shameful place this branch of Burger King has become
“First of all they got my order wrong. It’s ok, I turned around and they rectified it, but without any apology or personality.
“My first bite was a bite of cold burger and bacon and when I say cold I mean I got warmer ice cream. The fries were lukewarm at best.”
The customer added: “Not to be deterred, I turned around and asked to speak to the manager – that’s where I think environmental health needs to get involved.
“After informing him that my burger was barely lukewarm he told me and I quote ‘oh yes, we serve our burgers at room temperature’ which worries me.
“If the manager thinks food shouldn’t be cooked at 75C, then what hope does his boring staff have.
“On a positive note, I got my money back with minimal hassle.”
Another visitor simply wrote, “This is one of the worst, I repeat, worst Burger Kings I have ever encountered.”
Meanwhile, the last five-star review in 2019 appeared to be a returning customer who said the experience was “much better.”
They said to me: “Beautiful and warm this time, efficient service, well-cooked hot dishes, the black Angus hits hard. I will be back.”
The Sun has contacted Burger King for comment.
