The Kitchen: a dog-friendly cafe is about to open in Wraysbury

A DOG-FRIENDLY cafe will open in the heart of Wraysbury this weekend.

Owners Nicky and Garry Hall will be cooking up a storm by hosting the grand opening of The Kitchen, on Wraysbury High Street, on Saturday March 12.

It comes after the couple took the lead during the lockdown by cooking food for friends and neighbours.

From there, they decided to create a Secret Curry Club Facebook group where they would cook different dishes for members to try each week.

They said, “Creating the different foods was the highlight of our week, collecting the food was the most exciting thing the members could expect.”

The pair ended up having to turn the outdoor office into a fully functional kitchen to be more efficient.

Nicky and Garry have been private caterers for over 20 years and have now taken the plunge to run their own dog friendly cafe.

It will serve a selection of homemade dishes, cakes and cookies to eat in or take away.

And he even has his own dog menu so you can treat your furry friends to a tasty snack.

Their daughter Nelli is also passionate about food and now bakes cakes to order.

The cafe will meet all dietary requirements, including naughty, healthy and balanced foods for all to enjoy.

Nicky said: ‘We’re such a dog-friendly community that it just makes sense to welcome them into the cafe, as long as they’re clean and well-behaved, that is… let’s talk dogs or children here.

“We are now frantically finishing last minute preparations, we are quite nervous but also very excited to finally open.

“We’ve never had coffee before, but we’re staying positive and just want to create a nice place for the village and beyond to come and enjoy.”

The cafe will serve a limited menu only for the opening weekend, and from Monday its full menu will be available.

It will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The cafe will only be open on Sundays this weekend only, to mark the opening.
