Warner Bros Reportedly Dropped Batgirl Movie After Poor Screen Tests
Warner Bros has reportedly dropped its upcoming Batgirl film following poor screen test results.
The DC film, which was to star Hollywood stars Michael Keaton, Brendan Fraser, JK Simmons and Leslie Grace, was filmed entirely in Glasgow.
The production is said to have cost around $70m (£57.6m) and the film was due for release in late 2022.
But after test screenings, the studio has decided to suspend production altogether, and it will no longer appear in theaters or on the HBO Max streaming service, according to US publication The New York Post.
It comes after several cast and crew members, including Grace and co-star Ethan Kai, as well as directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, were pictured filming in Scotland.
In January, Glasgow’s Trongate district was transformed by set builders into the famous city of Gotham with changes to storefronts and police cars.

Batgirl was set to focus on Barbara Gordon, played by Grace, the daughter of Gotham Police Commissioner Jim Gordon.
DC has been contacted for comment.
