WEATHER: Thunderstorm warning in these parts of Berkshire
RAIN is expected to hit parts of the county this afternoon as forecasters have issued a yellow weather warning.
The warning covers much of southern England and stretches across West Berkshire, Reading, Wokingham and Maidenhead – passing over them Quagmire and Windsor.

The warning states that driving conditions can be affected by spray, standing water and / or hail, resulting in longer travel times by car and bus.
Potential delays in rail services, short-term power outages and other services are possible, with possible damage from lightning strikes and flooding in a few homes and businesses could occur.
The MetOffice said, “Many places are missing the worst, but heavy showers and thunderstorms can disrupt transportation and possibly flooding.”

The warning is in place from 12 p.m. today until 10 p.m. tonight. No further warnings were issued for this weekend or the following week.
