It’s been months since the flashy designs for a new restaurant at WOKINGHAM Town Hall were unveiled.

In November, Wokingham City Council announced that the old Town Hall Courtyard Restaurant would be replaced by the RYND Restaurant.

RYND promises California-style dining in the heart of Wokingham.

But seven months later, the restaurant remains closed, raising questions about the project.

The good news is that the RYND team is preparing to open the restaurant as jobs have been advertised.

RYND is looking for a Host / Hostess to welcome guests and meet their needs. The role is to greet guests, organize reservations and take care of diners, especially those with VIP guests.

The company is offering up to £ 25,000 per year for the post, as well as tips. The host / hostess worked 25-30 hours per week.

They are also looking for a front desk assistant, responsible for taking orders, serving food and drink to customers, and may also be required to identify drinkers at the lounge-style restaurant.

The front desk assistant worked 25-40 hours per week with £ 9.50 per hour (plus tips).

To apply for any of these positions, send your CV to [email protected]

The concept of the new restaurant is an original idea of Tom Anderson and Gary Barnett.

RYND was founded in August 2014 in Castle Street, Reading. This lasted until August 2016 when the two founders embarked on different projects. The Reading site was taken over by BrewDog in 2018.

The new dinner at Wokingham will be chaired by Mr. Anderson, Jay Robinson and Lara Thompson.

Coffee, tea, brunch, dinner, fine baked goods, and cocktails are promised to guests once the RYND opens.
