Windsor’s annual song service raises funds for deserving causes
WINDSOR’s annual Carols On The Hill event raised over £ 800 for two worthy causes this year.
The festive celebration, which took place on December 10 outside Windsor Castle, saw hundreds of families come together to enjoy an evening of Christmas carole service.
The charity fundraiser organized during the event raised a total of £ 889.
This will be shared equally between Christian Help, a UK charity fighting global poverty, and a local mental health organization, Number 22 Community Counseling Services.

Speaking on behalf of Churches Together in Windsor, event coordinator Susy Shearer said: âWe are extremely grateful to all for generously supporting the selected charities this year and the work undertaken to meet the needs. deep roots of the communities they serve.
âIt is a wonderful testimony to the spirit of human benevolence and collective benevolence. ”
With the domestic cavalry fanfare, live music was played around the town’s Christmas tree.

And special guests, The Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Cllr John Story and Mayor Barbara Story joined in the festivities.
Ms. Shearer added, âWe are indebted to all the organizations, agencies and individual volunteers who, without their generous and voluntary support, this service could not have taken place.
